Communication and Fundraising Resource Manager
Rakshitha B. N. holds a Master's degree in Mass Communication and Journalism and a Bachelor's degree in English Literature, Public Administration, and Journalism from the University of Mysore. She currently serves as the Communication and Fundraising Resource Manager at Janaraksha, where she leads communication, fundraising, public relations, and resource mobilization initiatives to strengthen the organization's social impact.
She began her professional journey as a Woman Apprentice at the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Mandya, where she developed strong skills in public communication, media relations, content development, translation, and public outreach. At Samvada, she dedicated herself to empowering youth to build a gender-just, socially inclusive, and environmentally sustainable world. Through this journey, she not only gained valuable professional experience but also developed a deep understanding of diverse emotions, social challenges, and the true meaning of inclusiveness.
Her experience further expanded through her work with Durga India, where she actively engaged in gender sensitization, women's safety, community mobilization, programme facilitation, and capacity-building initiatives. She has gained significant experience in Training of Trainers (ToT), Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) awareness, public speaking, presentation skills, stakeholder engagement, and community facilitation. She is passionate about creating safe, inclusive, and equitable spaces for women, children, and marginalized communities through awareness, advocacy, and participatory learning.
Rakshitha continuously strengthens her professional expertise through learning in video editing, digital storytelling, Proposal writing, financial literacy, digital productivity using Artificial Intelligence (AI), employability skills training, digital literacy, and cyber safety. Her ability to combine storytelling with strategic communication enables her to amplify community voices, build meaningful partnerships, and mobilize resources for sustainable development.
As a farmer's daughter, Rakshitha has a deep connection with nature and values environmental sustainability. She is passionate about continuous learning, exploring new languages, and acquiring diverse skills. She believes that communication is a powerful tool for driving social change and empowering communities.
Outside her professional responsibilities, Rakshitha enjoys dancing, travelling, reading, writing, and Yoga, which bring balance and energy to her life while reflecting her commitment to lifelong learning, creativity, and personal growth.
