Compliance Finance Manager
Sowndarya S. K. holds a Master of Commerce (M.Com.) and is currently pursuing CA Intermediate, with the aspiration of becoming a Chartered Accountant. She currently serves as the Compliance Finance Manager at Janaraksha Rural Development Trust (R), where she is responsible for ensuring financial transparency, regulatory compliance, and effective financial management within the organization.
She began her journey at JRDT as an Accountant, where she was responsible for maintaining financial records, accounting, documentation, vouchers, financial reporting, and budgeting support. Through her dedication, accuracy, and commitment to accountability, she was promoted to the role of Compliance Finance Manager after one year of service.
Before joining the social sector, Sowndarya gained valuable professional experience in a KFM organization, an Audit Office, and a Distribution Office, where she worked in accounting and auditing. These experiences strengthened her expertise in financial management, compliance, documentation, and internal controls, providing her with a strong foundation in organizational finance.
During her academic journey, Sowndarya actively participated in the National Service Scheme (NSS) for five years, nurturing her interest in community service and social responsibility. Working at Janaraksha Rural Development Trust has further deepened her understanding of social development and inspired her to contribute to meaningful change beyond financial management.
Alongside her responsibilities as Compliance Finance Manager, Sowndarya is committed to maintaining accurate, transparent, and accountable financial systems that support the organization's mission. She believes that strong financial governance is essential for building donor confidence, ensuring organizational integrity, and creating sustainable social impact.
